Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager for Skilled Nursing in a geriatric care setting located in Spring Grove, Minnesota. This full-time position involves overseeing a 38-bed unit providing both short-term and long-term care, with an emphasis on leadership within a long-term care environment. The role requires flexibility in shift coverage, primarily during day hours, and involves direct clinical and managerial responsibilities.
Job Details:
- Shift Hours: 8 hours per day, primarily day shifts, with flexibility to assist on other shifts as needed
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours
- Start Date: 08/24/2026
- Required Qualifications: Minnesota RN license; AHA Basic Life Support certification; minimum of 2 years' geriatric nursing experience, including at least 2 years in a long-term care nursing facility; associate degree or certificate in nursing; able to help out on the floor as needed
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing; previous experience as a Manager, Lead Nurse, or Director of Nursing
- Schedule: Mostly day shifts, but flexibility for other shifts is required
- Additional Information:
- The position involves managing a 38-bed unit offering short-term and long-term care services
- Current patient ratio is 1:20 during the day and 1:38 during evenings/Nights
- No on-call or call back obligations specified, but may be required at times
- Scrub color: casual dress
- EMR system preferred: Matrix
- Holiday and weekend rotation are as needed
- Responds to interview requests from Monday through Friday
- Orientation week is not guaranteed; traveler is guaranteed set hours, with some holiday closures
