Description
We are hiring a licensed pharmacist for a contract position in Ogden, UT at a hospital. You will use clinical expertise to ensure safe and accurate medication distribution for patients across a range of care areas. The role includes pharmacist responsibilities such as medication verification, consult support, and collaboration with nursing and medical staff. Minimum Qualifications:
- Active Pharmacist license for Utah required.
- Experience with Pyxis and CIISafe required.
- Experience with VigiLanz required.
- Experience managing pharmacy technicians required. Candidate will be working alone with a technician for approximately half of the shift.
- Familiarity with Meditech, DoseEdge, RXMS, or similar documentation systems preferred.
- BLS/ALS preferred but not required.
- 6 months pharmacy experience preferred. Clinical experience in inpatient settings (ICU, NICU, ED, OR, behavioral health, or trauma) preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with consult services such as warfarin, vancomycin, TPN, and insulin management preferred.
- Prior experience in a level II trauma center or multi-ED environment preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 12:30–23:00.
- Shift pattern: 7 on, 7 off (consecutive days).
- Typical shift length: 10-hour shift with approximately 5.5 hours working alone with a technician.
- Documentation and systems used: Meditech, DoseEdge, RXMS, BD Pyxis, VigiLanz.

Join this hospital pharmacy team to contribute to patient care across multiple services including NICU, ICU, OR, three emergency departments, inpatient rehab, inpatient acute detox, and behavioral health. The pharmacy performs clinical activities such as consult services (warfarin, vancomycin, TPN, insulin), drug information provision, and intervention management through VigiLanz. The department emphasizes support for nurses and physicians to improve patient outcomes. The pharmacy team demonstrates long tenure and stable staffing.
