Being at the PGA of America means you are supported, respected, and appreciated for your contributions.The Food & Beverage (F&B) Lead is the primary liaison between the PGA of America and its Official Food & Beverage Partner. This role is critical in ensuring that the culinary experience at our Championships aligns with the PGA of America's high standards of excellence. This position will be responsible for the operational and financial health of the partnership, ensuring seamless communication, budgetary adherence, and strategic growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES (Specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to):
Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for the Official F&B Partner, fostering a collaborative and productive working relationship.
Communicate internal PGA organizational goals and brand standards to ensure the Partner's service delivery exceeds expectations.
Manage hours of operations across various Championships, ensuring staffing and service levels align with anticipated attendance.
Oversee the Partnership budget, tracking expenditures, managing reconciliations, and ensuring all financial activities remain within approved limits.
Assist in developing and implementing pricing strategies for general public and premium revenue goals.
Analyze sales data and operational KPIs to provide recommendations for business optimization.
Create and maintain detailed project timelines; hold both internal teams and external partners accountable to critical deadlines.
Facilitate the menu review process by compiling feedback.
Lead regular status meetings and provide clear, concise updates to PGA Leadership regarding F&B milestones and challenges.

SUPERVISION:
No direct supervisory responsibilities.
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:
Strong proficiency in budget management, P&L analysis, and strategic pricing models.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Five+ years of Food & Beverage management, preferably within high-volume sports, entertainment, or hospitality environments.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Job Knowledge/Technology: Ability to see the "big picture" of a partnership while managing the granular details. Skills in public speaking to represent the PGA of America at a variety of functions. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Excel, and a demonstrated understanding of Google Workspace.
Customer Focus: Meets the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers. Gets first hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services. Acts with the customer in mind and establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.

Initiative: Plans work and carries out tasks without detailed instructions; makes constructive suggestions; prepares problems or opportunities in advance and undertakes additional responsibilities. Responds to situations as they arise with minimal supervision and creates solutions to problems.

Ability to read "between the lines" and make inferences based on tone.
Problem Solving/Analytical Thinking: The ability to see the "big picture" in complex situations by linking information or by considering an abstract or longer-term perspective; ability to break down a problem, situation or process into its component parts; ability to understand the nature of those parts and their relationship to one another; ability to make thoughtful decisions in situations of uncertainty or risk.
Organization: The ability to manage multiple projects and determine project urgency in a practical way. Manage transition from task to task effectively.
Resourcefulness: The ability to identify opportunities to use resources that are already available or are easy/inexpensive to obtain; ability to consider the surrounding environment before making costly decisions; ability to use imagination and creativity to navigate difficult situations.
Collaboration and Teamwork: A team-first mentality with a focus on building bridges between different departments (Sales, Operations, Partnerships, Ticketing)
Ability to travel up to 25% required. Ability to transport moderately heavy tournament equipment and supplies.
