Shift Availability, Pay, Differential & Bonus
We are currently hiring across multiple shifts. Available schedules include:
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Monday – Friday + Saturday OT as needed)
- 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Pay: $19.18 –21.54 per hour
Additional earning opportunities include:
- 2nd Shift Premium: +$1.50 per hour
- Quarterly Bonus: Eligible for up to 5% of salary earned each quarter based on performance and business results
- Overtime Pay: Available based on production needs(including Saturday as needed)

ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you a skilled hands-on technician with strong attention to detail and a passion for precision work? Join us as a Brazer at our Largo, Florida facility and play a critical role in the production of high-quality HVAC equipment.
In this role, you will perform brazing and testing operations to ensure the integrity of copper components and refrigerant systems, contributing directly to product quality and performance.
Basic Function
Performs brazing operations to join metal components (primarily copper) using filler materials, ensuring strong, leak-free connections that meet quality standards and production requirements.
What you will do
- Perform brazing operations using a gas torch on copper components
- Join coils, headers, and valve pack materials following detailed instructions
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and shop orders
- Inspect brazed joints and perform first-article inspections to ensure quality standards
- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace (5S)
- Follow all safety procedures, including PPE usage, SOPs, and JSAs
- Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other departments to meet production goals
- Communicate effectively regarding safety, quality, process, or equipment issues
- Support continuous improvement by identifying efficiencies and problem-solving opportunities
- Use computer systems (ERP, Microsoft Office) to track production and inventory
- Support overtime, cross-training, and movement between departments as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
How you will do it
- Follow standardized brazing procedures and manufacturing processes
- Apply proper techniques to ensure strong, clean, and leak-free joints
- Operate within established SOPs and safety protocols
- Maintain focus on safety, quality, and productivity in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate flexibility to support training, overtime, and production demands
- Work collaboratively with team members and leadership to achieve operational goals
What we look for
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Required:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum of 6 months experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, safety documents, and technical instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to complete JCI Brazer training within 30 days of hire
Preferred:
- Prior brazing, soldering, or welding experience
- Military experience or technical training in the armed forces
LANGUAGE ABILITY
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and ERP systems.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee is regularly exposed to a manufacturing environment, including noise, dust, non-toxic fumes, heat from equipment, and moving machinery.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work in a noisy, dusty, industrial environment with exposure to heat and non-toxic fumes
- Ability to work with machinery, moving parts, cranes, and vehicles
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, with ladders or scaffolding
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs
- Ability to perform repetitive motions involving hands, wrists, and arms
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods on hard surfaces
- Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, climb, and reach overhead
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
- Ability to work overtime as required
HIRING HOURLY RANGE
HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $19.18 – 21.54 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and alignment with market data.)
