- Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Travel Nursing
- Healthcare Setting: Acute Care – Surgical Services
- Assignment Type: Travel Nurse Contract
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 11/17/2025, End: 2/16/2026)
- Shifts: 3x12 hour day shifts per week (rotating), 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM; early leave possible if cases are completed, must be available for call-back
- On-Call: 17-20 call shifts in an 8-week period, including 12-hour weeknights and 24-hour weekend shifts (30-minute response time required)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2100 - $2250
- Team Environment: Small, collaborative team with 4 RNs per shift (Preop, OR, PACU, Float)
- Charting System: Epic EMR
- Orientation: 2 days in OR, plus additional Preop/PACU training as needed
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license (Idaho or compact state)
- Minimum 3 years of Operating Room nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- Preop and PACU experience preferred
- Ability to float to Preop, PACU, and other departments as needed
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
OR RN Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, effective nursing care for surgical patients in the Operating Room, Preop, and PACU settings
- Assist with surgical cases including cholecystectomies, appendectomies, hernia repairs, abdominal hysterectomies, hysteroscopies, D&C, colonoscopies, endoscopies, and C-sections
- Collaborate with a dedicated healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in on-call shifts and respond within 30 minutes as required
- Float to other departments and provide clinical support when surgeries are not scheduled
- Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures
