Labor & Delivery RN Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2240-$2400
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: January 5, 2026 – End: April 6, 2026)
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care – Women's Services, Labor & Delivery (L&D)
• Nursing Shifts: 12-hour nights (7p-7a)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Floating: Required to float to similar units in Nampa and Boise L&D (all locations within 20 minutes)
• Orientation: Customized, typically 4-6 shifts
• Scrubs: Blue scrubs provided
• Charting System: Epic EMR

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Idaho or compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Circulating RN experience
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• STABLE (completed at least once)
• AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring
• Triage nursing experience strongly preferred
• Ability to titrate drips (Pitocin, magnesium, insulin)
• Willingness to float to similar Labor & Delivery units as needed

L&D RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring, antepartum, postpartum, and newborn patients
• Circulate in the operating room for C-sections (2 OR suites on unit)
• Perform triage assessments and manage laboring patients (32 weeks gestation and greater)
• Administer and titrate medications and drips according to protocol
• Collaborate with OB hospitalists, midwives, neonatal nurse practitioners, and anesthesiologists
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Float to Labor & Delivery units in Nampa and Boise as needed
• Follow AWHONN staffing standards and hospital policies
