Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a night shift travel assignment, requiring at least 1 year of experience with ARRT certification and proficiency in IV starts, PACS, and contrast administration.
Details
- Inpatient and outpatient CT setting
- Patient population ranges from adolescents to geriatrics; neonates and pediatrics are rare
- 3x12 or 4x12 hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, on a 7-on/7-off rotation (Wednesday night through Tuesday morning)
- Uses Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR communication
- May float to a sister campus approximately 3 miles away
- No on-call requirements
- Weekend work depends on the posted shift schedule
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience
- Current BLS and ARRT certifications required
- Proficiency in IV starts, PACS, and contrast administration
- Experience in both inpatient and outpatient work settings
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted
- RTO is capped at 7 days for the duration of the assignment; RTO cannot be requested during the first week
- Spring Break (April 4–12) is a blackout period for RTO
- Travelers are expected to work all major holidays that fall within their assignment period if one or two occur; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work two of them
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
- Travelers must have been away from all facilities in this health system for at least one full year before returning as a traveler
- No schedule change requests or alternate shift arrangements are permitted — the posted shift is firm
- Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred for consideration
- Caribbean blue scrubs are required
- RTO dates must be submitted at time of consideration
- A 13-week contract
