This role will include providing outpatient nutrition counseling to children, adolescents, and adults with eating disorders, disordered eating, ARFID, food aversions, low appetite, and related concerns.
While this position will involve working across the lifespan, experience and comfort working with pediatric and adolescent clients is essential, including collaboration with caregivers and treatment teams. Care is delivered virtually and is grounded in trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate, evidence-based practice within a HAES® and intuitive eating framework.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide ethical, evidence-based medical nutrition therapy to children, adolescents, and adults with eating disorders, ARFID, food aversions, restrictive eating patterns, and disordered eating.
Support caregivers through education, guidance, and coaching using family-based and developmentally appropriate approaches when working with pediatric and adolescent clients.
Collaborate and coordinate care with multidisciplinary treatment teams, including therapists, physicians, psychiatrists, and other providers.
Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough documentation for all client encounters.
Engage in ongoing continuing education and clinical supervision to strengthen expertise in eating disorder care across the lifespan.
Job Requirements:
Required Work Experience
Demonstrated experience working in the eating disorder field in an outpatient setting OR IOP, PHP or residential levels of care.
Direct experience working with pediatric and/or adolescent clients is required.
Experience working with adult clients with eating disorders or disordered eating is expected.
Required Skills
Strong foundation in intuitive eating and its application across the lifespan.
Clear alignment with Health At Every Size® (HAES) principles.
Experience utilizing motivational interviewing and other client-centered counseling techniques.
Ability to work effectively with both individual clients and family systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently in a virtual setting.
Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Empathetic, compassionate, and emotionally attuned.
Adaptable, flexible, and open to feedback and growth.
Commitment to professional boundaries and personal self-care.
Must practice within HAES and intuitive eating frameworks.

Professional Support & Practice Structure:
W-2 Employment Status
This is an employee position, not an independent contractor role. Compensation is provided via direct deposit with a W-2 issued annually. The practice assumes liability coverage and administrative compliance responsibilities, allowing clinicians to focus fully on client care.
Long-Term Investment in Team Members
While this position does not currently include paid time off, employer retirement contributions are provided after three years of employment to support long-term professional sustainability.
Financial Protection Around Cancellations
Clinicians are compensated for late cancellations and no-shows. We maintain credit cards on file and clearly communicate cancellation policies to clients in advance. Decisions about charging are made collaboratively and thoughtfully. Your time is respected and financially protected.
Ongoing Clinical Supervision
Weekly supervision is provided and is designed to be supportive rather than evaluative. This protected space allows clinicians to process cases, strengthen clinical skills, navigate challenges, and celebrate growth within a collaborative and psychologically safe environment.
Practice-Supported Marketing
Marketing and client acquisition efforts are managed by the practice. Clinicians are not responsible for sourcing their own referrals.
Flexible Scheduling with Defined Needs
Clinicians create their own schedules. Because this role includes pediatric and adolescent clients, availability during after-school and early evening hours is required. Weekend hours are optional but welcome.
Intentional Growth Without Productivity Quotas
The role begins at approximately 10+ hours per week, with opportunity for expansion for the right candidate. There are no rigid productivity quotas.
