Location:  Midwest USA (Preferred)

Job Purpose                                                                                                                                    
Effectively generating sales for an assigned group of customers, commodities and specialty ingredients. Develop a sustainable business with acceptable budget and margins as outlined by the company. Promote growth & development and present opportunities for further growth.

Duties and responsibilities                                                                                                                       
-Responsible for Customer Relationship Management. Building commercial relationship and providing service excellence. Promote Company name and reputation in the marketplace. Provide clear, concise written and verbal communications.
-Develop prioritized account growth plans including annual forecasting and budget. Manage account profitability / profit contribution.
-Responsible for sales contracts & sales agreements, specifying all related terms and conditions in
appropriate detail. Meeting company goals for gross margin. Manage risk by operating within establish guidelines.
-In conjunction with the Principal Managers, ensure that the business plans for each of our product lines are implemented.
-Responsible for Contract execution, maintenance and forward projections and planning. Monitor customer inventory activity / execution accordingly.
-Continue to improve and grow your Market knowledge, Ingredient knowledge and Pet Industry knowledge to bring greater value and growth to all stake holders.
-Explore new product development opportunities with customers – work with Principal Managers &
the Team to expand the core business.
-Bring a strong focus on Solutions Management, manage issues head on, be proactive and work closely with the Team to resolve efficiently and effectively.
-Work closely with support staff to deepen their knowledge base of the business for strong
execution and pro-active customer service strategy.
-Active participation in industry events, trade associations etc
-Other duties, as assigned

Accountability
-Sustainable year to year growth in revenue, commodities and markets.
-Ability to work within the company guidelines and procedures.
-Collaborate successfully & positively in a Team environment.

Working conditions
-Regular weekend and evening work may be required. Travel required.



Requirements

Qualifications/Competencies
-Min 5 years’ experience in technical sales
-Degree in Business and/or Agriculture or similar training with post secondary degree education
-Creative thinker who can build a business using exceptional communication & organizational skills.
-Must be able to establish good relationships with Customers & related stakeholders at each account.
-Proven experience in organizing sales calls and schedules, and evidence of detailed reporting is required
-Accountable, results oriented.
- Self-driven, pro-active self-starter.
-Strong leadership and teamwork qualities.
-Must be able to follow corporate direction and policies as laid out.
-Competency in SFDC, Sales Management Systems and Microsoft Office or equivalent.
-Good working knowledge of primary computer programs
