Cheyenne Mountain Resort opened in 1985 and sits on 25 acres of land. The 4-Star Full Service property is nestled in the lush greens of Southern Colorado Springs and oversees impressive mountain views, along with exciting activities like golf, swimming, and tennis. These allow for the unique experience that you can only get at this resort.
Salary Range: $52,000-$55,000 commensurate with experience.
Position Overview : The Seasonal Assistant Food & Beverage Manager will support operations at the seasonal snack bars during the busy summer season. This role assists in overseeing daily food and beverage service, ensuring efficient operations, strong service standards, and exceptional guest experiences. The Assistant Manager works closely with the Food & Beverage leadership team to support a high-volume outdoor venue while helping lead and develop seasonal colleagues. This position is seasonal (May-September) with potential to move into a year-round role.
Job Functions & Responsibilities:
Operations & Guest Experience
Support daily food and beverage operations at Longboards Bar, Resort Pool Snack Bar, and Golf Snack Bar.
Ensure consistent execution of Hyatt service standards.
Monitor service flow and assist during peak periods.
Engage with guests to resolve issues and ensure satisfaction.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
Conducting pre-shifts with the team and communicating daily resort activities.
Leadership & Team Support
Assist in supervising servers, bartenders, and support staff.
Provide hands-on leadership during busy service times.
Support onboarding and training of seasonal colleagues.
Promote a positive and team-focused environment.
Administrative Support
Assist with scheduling and shift management.
Support inventory and ordering processes.
Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
Communicate updates and needs to leadership.
Attending Food and Beverage weekly meetings as scheduled.
Collaboration
Partner with Country Club, Culinary, and leadership teams.
Support internal events.
Qualifications
Previous Food & Beverage supervisory experience.
Strong leadership and guest service skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
Knowledge of food safety and alcohol service standards.
Flexible availability, including holidays and weekends.
