The Dietician in the Enhanced Family Foster Care program provides dietary counseling and follow up to at risk foster children and their foster parents. Provide dietary counseling to foster children and their foster parents. Monitor and track patient progress. Identify community resources to aide in health and well-being. Work with medical and social work teams to ensure optimal health and wellness for identified patients. Communicate effectively with staff, children and parents. Works closely with nursing staff, pediatrician and mental health providers to better serve the dietary needs of the foster child.
Requirements
NYS Licensed as a Dietician. A BA in dietetics-Nutrition or similar field required. One year of experience in related filed. Must have extensive knowledge of child nutrition, diabetes, obesity, and high cholesterol.
