BallenIsles Country Club, located in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Food and Beverage Receiver and Storeroom Attendant! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. Compensation: $16 - $19 depending on experience
Schedule: This position requires a flexible schedule, including availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
Position Summary:
The F&B Receiver & Storeroom Attendant is responsible for receiving, inspecting, documenting, storing, and distributing all food and beverage deliveries while maintaining accurate inventory records and an organized storeroom. This position works closely with Purchasing, Culinary, Food & Beverage, and other departments to ensure products are received accurately, stored safely, and readily available to support daily club operations. The ideal candidate has experience in hospitality receiving or inventory operations and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where attention to detail, organization, and exceptional service are valued.
Key Responsibilities:
Receives, inspects, and verifies all incoming food, beverage, and operating supply deliveries for accuracy, quality, and condition
Matches purchase orders, invoices, and packing slips while documenting discrepancies and reporting damaged or missing items
Properly labels, rotates, stores, and organizes inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices
Delivers received products to the appropriate departments in a timely manner
Maintains accurate inventory records and communicates stock levels, shortages, and replenishment needs to Purchasing
Assists with inventory counts, cycle counts, and periodic audits to maintain inventory accuracy
Maintains clean, organized, and sanitary storeroom, loading dock, and receiving areas that comply with food safety and health standards
Safely operates pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other receiving equipment
Coordinates outgoing shipments, including preparing shipping documentation and packaging materials
Assists with incoming and outgoing mail, courier deliveries, and interdepartmental distribution
Cross-trains in commissary receiving procedures and supports additional Food & Beverage operations as needed
Removes trash, cardboard, and recyclables while maintaining a safe and organized work environment
Follows all company policies, safety procedures, sanitation standards, and loss prevention practices
Maintains regular and reliable attendance
Performs additional duties as assigned to support departmental and Club operations
Qualifications:
Required:
Minimum of one year of food and beverage experience, or willingness to learn within the 90-day probation period
Valid driver's license
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced hospitality environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Dependable, self-motivated, and committed to delivering exceptional internal customer service
Basic math, reading, and computer skills
Preferred:
Previous receiving, purchasing, inventory control, warehouse, or storeroom experience in a country club, hotel, resort, restaurant, or hospitality environment
Knowledge of inventory management software and computerized receiving systems
Experience with food safety, product rotation, and inventory best practices
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
Frequently lifts, carries, pushes, and pulls up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds
Regular bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing as required
Ability to work safely in receiving docks, storage areas, coolers, and freezers
